"LEARNED"


8:16am-
So weird to be up so early....

9:21am-
Starbucks interview.
Seemed like it went well.

11am-5pm
No A/C.
So hot at the studio.
One of the calendars we're making is half naked girls in candy.
Today I pushed lines claiming i 'couldnt be fired' and told Anastasia, the boss, SHE should be a month.
She said she HAD fired an intern before.
I asked anyway what kind of candy she would want to be buried in..

Gummy bears.


I also had my camera with me so I pushed all the buttons and asked the DP what does what and how to change it. Learned.

3:02am-
Hopefully gonna be getting up early again. No until friday. Just errands and playing with my camera. I feel prepared for tomorrow.

"THINGS ABOUT DENMARK"


Between noon and four-
Finally got up.
Drank some orange juice and then ate an apple in the shower.
(No one ever taught me NOT to..!?!)

Heading to meet Kristen at the east side service.

8:29pm-
Talked about dreams for 10 blocks.
Apparently I'm still old fashioned in the way of walking people to their destination.

Bus across town to meet up with Nolen and Lucas.
The bus reminds me of being at summer camp... Really cold and the feel and smell... Hmm.

12:36am-
Home.
Lucas and I got along really well. Apparently he doesn't really talk to people at all- he was around Nolens roommate for a week last time he was here and barely said two words- but he's been talking to me and explaining things about Denmark all night.
Nolen was surprised.
I'm just glad to know a straight guy in the city to hang out with.


Bed early.
I've got and interview at nine and using my camera at the studio again right after that.
And Sylvie wants to start getting up at 5...?! I told her I'd get up early with her. tomorrow is supposedly gonna be 7am...
We'll see.

"JOLLY OLD MAN"


12:17pm-
Kristen told me she has a 'key to the city'. It let's you in secret places through out the city..
so today were going adventuring.

3:50pm-
Were are now at the Louis Armstrong museum. Where he used to LIVE!!
Im even more a fan..
EVERY picture of him he has a giant grin or is laughing... you could tell he was a jolly old man.

4:47pm-
Sitting in the grass In Louis Armstrong's backyard...!

5:00pm-
The fire hydrant is open and the whole neighborhood is playing in the street.
I wanna plaay...!

7:01pm-
We went down into the depths of a Mexican restaurant where they made they're own tortillas, made on ourselves and ate it. Not bad, Us.
On a bus to an old fashioned soda shoppe.
Let's see what this is all about..!

7:38pm-
Strawberry vanilla malt from an actual soda shoppe.
Yum!

9:13pm-
At kristens house I found 1,000,000 years B. C.
So we got some wine and looks like were gonna watch that old movie.

Nope.
Also- I still don't like wine.

Starbucks called.
I may have to start working now... Buuhh...

12:14pm-
Pumping the morning music and instead of coffee (to hot) I'm starting off with a redbull mimosa.
*redbull and orange juice.

1:43pm-
Looks like I'm forming a habit of running my feet under cold water every day before I get dressed, just to cool off.

3:25pm-
Stopped at a radio shack-
With an upgrade and then a trade in, I can get an iPhone 4 for about $118. Instead of $400. Deal....?

4:16pm-
Sitting in the shade in the park-
A group of little kids, probly five or six years old, running around with little spray bottles squirting each other.

-It settled down for moment, a girl said to the other girls around her, 'let's get the boys....!'

-a girl says, you're to far off...!'
The boy, 'but we can go where ever we want!!'
Other boy, 'to the rocks!!'
And the boys run off.

-Two other boys and a girl are standing around a tree squirting they're bottles and pretending to pee on the tree. 'weeerrre using the baaathrooomm...!' they sing.
The girl says to the boys, 'you know, I actually pee from my penis, too.'

12:16am-
Went nolens where shay was cutting several peoples hair. Met Lucas (Nolens Danish friend) and watched 10 Things I Hate About You.
I love Shakespeare and need to learn more of his work.

1:12am-
I just made Sylvia text me the entire summary of Mid-summer nights dream.

Just so I don't forget:
I'm naming my son Lysander.
Someone remind me when he gets here.

"IT'S DONE"

4:12pm-
After almost 30 minutes on the phone (with what may have been one of the guys on the streets who yells at you to buy sunglasses) I finally got my flight plans figured out.
"Ok. New York. And what is the state?"
"New York."
"Oh, ok. What was the city...?"
"Its New York."
"Wait, so the state AND the city are New York..????"
"Yes."

At least it's done.

5:23pm-
Planned on just sitting on the edge of the tub with my feet in the cold water to cool off... But, my mother never taught me any rules about not getting in the tub with your clothes on.. So I did.
I miss lakes.

7:41pm-
Went into a starbucks. Decided I might as well ask if they want to hire me..
The girl at the register said to write my name and number on this piece of paper for the manager. I wrote a long note instead.
We'll see.

12:17am-
Cleaned the living room. It was a MESS and took the garbage out. 6 paper grocery bags filled to the top....
Glad I got it out before my mom saw that....

12:49am-
Walked a few blocks to Dominos to pick up a large pizza for $6...!
Weekend special. Theyre normally like $15. deal.

On the bus headed downtown. Some guy starts to tell the driver about some story in the news.
"and he lost control, hit a nun, and crashed into a wall..!?

Cupcake shop.
Time square.

12:50am-
Going to bed pretty early tonight.
Walking around all day and then all the way out to the airport and then getting back is tiring. Think I fell asleep in the train.
Also- they charge $5 just to LEAVE the airport...?! I was NOT happy about that.

Caught every train right as it was arriving.

Watching a little baby in a stroller in the subway rub her toes across her teeth.

2:02am-
Christie called to tell me I misspelled her name on a facebook comment seconds after I posted it.
"I just... I thought we were better friends, ya know...? I feel like I shouldn't have to tell you these things.. But, I didn't want to hold a grudge for years, I just wanted to get it out in the open and deal with this..."
I miss them.

"QUITE A JOURNEY."

9:51am-
Up and heading to the studio.
Were using my camera for a photoshoot today.
Its strange being up and out so early...

1:11pm-
Doing a photoshoot with models and candy.....

2:20pm-
Got sent to home depot for something that wasn't there last time and still isn't there this time.

3:48pm-
Today at the studio were doing a photoshoot with a naked model buried in candy corn. Ordered pizza and everyones being really funny.
Bad day to have to leave early.

4:32pm-
Me and a guy with an accent search for a 2,3 train and split when his card didn't work.
Heading to letterman to see Jay-Z and Emenim.....!

7:42pm-
Got VIP tickets. Front row in the balcony! Then went up and took pictures sitting at daves desk.
All thanks to my friend Kristen.

Events leading up to:
2:03am-
-We decided on pie.
We invited Kristen to join us and went to Juniors for cheescake.
Very good.
-Emily and shay apparently bought a rotisserie chicken that was waiting us at home.
So we all went that way.
-Shay and Emily split off to run an errand and would meet us at the house later.
-While Kristen and I were at the house, someone shay knew came by.
"helloo...?? Hi. I'm shays friend. He's gonna cut my hair. Also, I've been.. I'm a little bit... I'm wasted."
Funny stuff.
-After the haircut, a little eating and speed scrabble, Kristen had to go.
I told her earlier I'd 'walk' her home. Cause it's late and she doesn't know where she's going.
-She lives in queens.
-Two train rides and a long walk later-done. I can head home.

2:31am-
It's gonna be quite a journey back home.

"TWO OMELETS, SIX PANCAKES AND COFFEE ALL AROUND."

Shay and Emily said they were planning on sleeping in this morning..
Maybe I'll get up and make some coffee...

4:28pm-
At ihop.
The waitress brought our food- two omelets, six pancakes and coffee all around.
Came back about 12 minutes later and it was reduced to stacked plates, sugar wrappers and a syrup spill.
"Are y'all doing ok- wow... Y'all did good."

6:16pm-
At the west side service to meet up with Kristen and Christy from the film project.

8:19pm-
Going to see toy story 3.....! In 3D! With Kristen and christy and another of their friends.
Shay and Emily want to go tomorrow so Nolen is coming.

2:50am-
At nolens watching her clean her room. It's so hot. Everywhere.

"ITS GREAT, BUT.."

9:54pm-
The plan was for us to be up and out by 9. We both slept in instead.
NOW were heading out. To the park to take pictures.

11:42am-
Stopped for coffee and found a good spot in the grass in the shade in the park.
So good to walk around barefoot in the grass..... I almost forgot what it was like.

1:29pm-
Got on a bus with a bus driver who must be in love.
He's funny and friendly with the passengers...
"ok, everyone..." hes talking to the passengers through the speaker, "What's ten body parts that are spelled with three letters..."
Passengers start yelling out answers:
"leg!"
"arm...!"
"eye!"
"Hip!"
"Ooh! Good one!"
"Neck..."
"Who said that...?? You're getting off at the next stop."


3:14pm-
At a walgreens.
I noticed that Condoms were in the 'family planning' section.
Emily: "More like the 'anti-family planning' section....!"

10:36pm-
Heading to Nolen's place of work.
(wanted to head that way around 7 or 8 but we fell asleep at home..!)
Passed a place called
"Wizard of Eyes optometrist."
Good luck getting people to trust you with their eyes after THAT name...!

10:44pm-
Makes me want to love on the ghetto when I walk past a corner with a good 20 people just hanging out on the sidewalk, playing cards and dominoes, grilling food, having a good time.....

12:10am-
Emily has had a few 'girly' drinks and apparently that's enough.
Her talking to Nolen:
"Oh...! Also- I bought a pair of Uni Qlo jeans!"
"oh! That's awesome!"
"Yeah! It's great! But I wish I could feel my lips.."

Decided I didn't like the shoes I was wearing with the shirt I was wearing.
So i bought some new ones.
(I'd actually been wanting these shoes for a while..)

Walking around times square with emilys model friend, alex.
She's nice but slightly vain. But for being a 21 year old model who looks like a 16 year old, it's understandable.

Big, black, funny lady in the train. Talking about every one who came in.

"BRING TACOS"

The plan was to be up and out to do laundry by 10.
Were just getting up and making coffee..

4:53pm-
Returned my camera bag for a bigger one. It was cheaper so I made $30.

6:29pm-
I tried on the suits that looked cool. I looked like I should be serving icecream to children.

Finally found a jacket that was a little more my style.

Heading to someones birthday celebration..

12:48am-
Left the party and going to jakes dillema. Shay and Emily already left and went to a taco bell waay down town.
I told em to meet me at jakes. And bring tacos.

"LIQUID CHEESE SAUCE"

Wow... I'm the best at resetting alarms while half asleep.
And also pretty good at convincing myself that i can get home and then to the studio in 30 minutes.

Joe and I went out looking for a coffee maker with Neil.
Neil said to split up, so Joe and I went to wendys for lunch.

About how good liquid cheese sauce is:
"it's good on EVERYTHING.....! meat, bread, vegetables... You could probly even put that on regular cheese and it'd be good!!"

My cousin Emily is here!
Her and shay went shopping, got separated on the train and now are finally back and I get to see her!

Our window was messed up... Me on the fire escape and shay on the inside holding the AC, we stomped it until it went back into place.

After we ate the dinner Emily cooked, spaghetti and salad, we made coffee and played speed scrabble.

I could get up now and eat and have time to get ready and be at the studio at noon.

On the way to stop for coffee I ran into Matt and Neil. They said they were making coffee at the studio.

Learning about multiclip editing.
Pretty cool.

Just left the studio.
All day hung out with Tim. Very smart. A little too logical though.
