Philip Glass - "Morning Passages"
12:25pm-
Walk past Austin, asleep on the floor, "Going to get a job. Be back in a little bit."
"Mmhk, good luck, buddy..."
2:19pm-
After pacing the living room for 15 minutes saying he's about to go to the studio but really doesn't want to, Austin stops and turns around.
"Not doing it. Let's go to the park."
And so we did.
8:54pm-
Noreen comes over.
I'm feeling weird.
Not talky.
We find a place to eat in my neighborhood.
9:49pm-
Austin went ahead and bought a small bag of dried fish, minnows, from the Mexican bodega down stairs that we saw last time.
Smells like fish food.
Noreen and I watched as he eats one.
And then gag and spit it out and spends the next ten minutes in the bathroom..
10:34pm-
Noreen has to go home, but Alex may come here from the airport.
A 'Minute Journal' is an idea I had after I noticed how many things happen in a lifetime. Things that, unless recorded, will go completely unnoticed and be forgotten. Not all of them are funny or exciting, but they are all things that have happened exactly as I have written them. Nothing is going to be made up or embellished to be more entertaining. This is life: as it happens.
