It was Prince of Persia.
And it looked really cool, like a real life Aladdin. But the story was choppy and drawn out..
(But i dont think Im supposed to say anything about it.)
I need to see more movies for free so i can judge them more freely.

Woke up in time to keep my alarm from going off.
...And cause this couch is, somehow, so uncomfortable.
Met Nolans roommate Morgan and walked down to the store to get some milk with her on my way out.
She had made coffee and offered some. I should have stayed and taken her up on that. Since when has work been the most important thing to me...?

Yeah.... I may have taken a little nap that may have looked like I was reading something....

Been sitting on the couch watching episodes of some show.
So far we've eaten pasta, brownies, chips and salsa, apples and peanut butter, more brownies and cheese puffs.

Sitting around at the studio listening to the people talk about remakes and their disapproval.

Sitting with Neil (the DP who's editing a commercial) and the director of the commercial while Neil edit and color corrects it.

I heard once that one way to be successful is to never eat alone.
Mostly meaning that you should use your time, ALL your time, 'doing business'. Even if that business is just visiting and making friends and connections. And what better time to do that than at a lunch or dinner.
Went out for lunch with Neil and the Director/producer who here.

Neil explained all the tools (that he knew about) on Final Cut Pro and showed me how they work and what they're good for.
Finally some real learning.

Felt like Ferris Bueller. Except i didnt have to jump any fences or run though anyones backyard..
And now.. I'm home, and they're not..

Just realized I haven't noted anything today.
The only thing noteworthy is that earlier I made an egg sandwich. Potatoe bread, mayo, fried egg and salt and pepper. Turned out pretty good.
Shay and Nolan are planning on comming over.

Last night i decided I was going to be more.... Noticable.. at work/school. Talk more, be a part of what's happening and not just sit around until they ask me if I wanna do something.
It didn't take much more than being open to people and Anistasia told me about a whole project that's happening and what I could do to see if I could find a way to raise funding.

Ended up at b&n. There are some elemtary kids reading some poetry they wrote. Some of it is pretty good!
Then a kid got up there, with a poem about Michael Jackson being the best. He stuttered and could barely read it. But, when he finished the music came on and he put a hat on and danced to "just beat it".
Even the people who couldn't hear his poem, they knew what he was talking about.
Last night I made a list of things to do. Apply for jobs was on it. Here and starbucks. I didn't feel like doing that. But, it's on the list. So I did.

Man, I love the idea of having a washing machine IN your HOUSE..!?!

There's a family, mother father and some children, awkwardly singing in the subway station. And singing christmas songs...??
(and I'm not even sure if they're really singing that much... Sounds like mostly a tape player with childrens voices that they're singing over...)

Someone is playing some slow smooth jazz from a saxophone somewhere down here in the subway...
I feel like a character in a black and white 40's movie. I need a long trench coat, a hat and a cigar.

The studio is still locked.
And no one is answering the phones. (nobody is there.)
So I'm going home and calling in sick.

I couldn't help but notice a big black man dressed really well.* I was looking at the tiny intricate design on the cuff link and he said 'you like that.' in a deep Barry white voice. He was referring to his big silver watch with gold trim and white, blue and grey diamond looking things on the face of it. 'I was looking at these cuff links. Very nice.' He laughed a little.
My stop came and as I walked past him to leave he said 'have a good day, man', in his slow, radio voice at the same time I said 'have a good one' with whatever Texas drawl I may have.
It's good to see someone who's friendly AND dressed well every now and then.
*He was wearing a blue paid shirt; matching green tie and pocket handkerchief with blue designs; a light grey vest and a dark gray vest (which sounds dumb but it looked cool); and blue cuff links with that same design but green.
Midday-
Someone was giving out little boxes of cereal and gave shay as many as would fit in his bag...!
Now we need to find someone who's giving away milk...

I'm definitely about to order squid legs.

Did good at being productive after 1 am.
-Made a hot air balloon model to hang in the kitchen.
-Looked up stuff about the camera I want to buy.. (Canon 5d mark II.)
-Made a bulletin board out of cardboard.
And recorded 4 tracks to a song. In my underwear!!
(one of the reasons i love having my own house!)
I can go to bed feeling like I did something today.

Picked up my pants from being hemmed and at chris' experimenting with sloe gin now. Tastes like kool-aid.

Cooking burgers now.
Apparently me and chris decided to eat some burgers on the roof. So were making em to take em up there.
This is a test run.
Next weekend were gonna have a real cook out on my roof with more people and make a cookout out of it.

And now I'm leaving cause chris is getting real annoying.
I can only take so much.
To be fair, apparently I annoy him quite a bit as well.

To figure out what i owe, I just mathed out a recipt of the food we bought.
Even figuring up the sales tax to be 8.840701% of the non-food item that I DIDNT buy.
..........At least I can go to bed knowing no one could swindle me on bogus expenses..

The door 'bell' kept clicking until I realized what it was...
Answered the door half naked with a cup of coffee. Some people were going around seeing who all spoke Spanish in the neighborhood.

Just showed an inspector around the house pointing out leaky faucets and windows that don't lock. Still half naked.
